Lovely but why Telstra?

Ah, sponsorship. Although it is a transmission tower, so not entirely shallow I guess.

Must add a lot to the skyline.

Why must towers always be done up in lights? To justify their existence on the landscape..?

These are great. Reminds me of the Eiffel Tower light show that they do every hour on the hour.

Any comments on the Wallabies losing to South Africa? ;-)

b squared - it does. it's very striking anyway, especially on foggy nights, but this multi-coloured phase makes it even more so.

del - yes! i loved that light show! i love its constancy, it's just going like that all night. as for last saturday...oh god! so close and yet so demoralisingly far! your thoughts?

Brono - I guess so planes don't fly into them? Apparently this multi-coloured rig is cheaper to run than the old (boring) white one...go figure! I hope it stays, then I can ogle it on my night-time walks!

The Boks are by far the strongest team this year. They just need a win on the road to prove it! Good luck against the ABs next weekend!

Beautiful - who said Canberra was full of stuffy politicians?
Amazing photos btw.

Del, all we needed was to tighten up our discipline, it's not like we weren't capable of it - look at that amazing passage of play in the first 5 minutes of the second half, now why couldn't we sustain that for the full 80 minutes? Argh! So frustrating. Am going to the Bled. match next week, so excited for it!

Blossom - exactly! Full of stuffy politicians 2 weeks out of every 4, but quietly cultured the whole time!
