It's lovely when you become aware of light, isn't it. And then to be able to capture it. I like the middle image: especially the splotches on the bark.
I was going to head up there for sunset (I think these were taken around 4-4.30pm), but the sun was bouncing off some storm clouds and generally doing that amazing thing it does just before a big storm comes (which it didn't!) and I couldn't resist the urge to go up a bit early.
Yes they are a delight. Move lovely afternoon light.
